Young Researchers and Immunology

What is immunology and how does it inform metastatic breast cancer treatment methods? During this session, researchers early in their careers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University will present on the various aspects of immunology they are studying. Their work to understand the body’s response and resistance to treatment based on cancer sub-type will inform how to cater immunotherapy to the individual patient and ultimately improve outcomes.
